Disciplines

Every service, in the same model.

engiCAD covers the building services a consultancy designs day to day. Each has its own tools and calculations, and all of them share one model — so they coordinate rather than collide.

What they share

Shared data, not shared linework.

Putting every service in one CAD file only puts the lines side by side. In engiCAD the services share what the model knows about the building, so what one discipline enters, the others can use.

  • Levels and spaces — every service sits on the same levels and reads the same spaces, so a room's occupancy and a floor's ceiling void mean the same thing to every discipline.
  • Disciplines inform each other — a fire partition drawn in the building creates its own dampers wherever ductwork crosses it.
  • Systems with real topology — each service is a connected network the solver traces end to end.
  • One set of outputs — schedules, bills of quantities and drawings come from the same model for every discipline.
  • Coordinated in 3D — every service appears in the same 3D model, so a clash of levels shows up at your desk rather than on site.

See it on your own project.

engiCAD is in active development and we are onboarding a small number of practices. Tell us what you work on and we will arrange a walkthrough against a drawing you recognise.
