Nothing lost
A bad afternoon costs an afternoon.
- Version history — browse earlier versions of a project and restore one, rather than rebuilding what went wrong.
- Saves that ride out a blip — a brief server hiccup is retried automatically instead of failing your save.
- Crash recovery — background snapshots on your own machine mean an unsaved hour survives a crash, a power cut or a stray reboot.
- Encrypted project files — authenticated AES-256 encryption with integrity checking, moved over HTTPS.

Underlays travel with the project
The DWG and DXF references a project depends on sync alongside it, so a project opened on another machine is never missing its architectural background.
Ready before you ask
Your most recent projects and their underlays are fetched in the background at startup, so opening one is opening it — not waiting on a download.
Offline
When the connection drops.
- Open without a connection — a cloud project opens from the copy already on your machine, underlays included, so a site visit with no signal is not a lost day.
- Saving offline — save to the cloud while offline and engiCAD tells you, and offers to save a local copy instead.
